EXALT

EXALT is a hack & slash adventure game with a unique element-combo-based combat system & pixel art aesthetic. The game contains a tutorial, an arena wherein you can fight waves of enemies, and a very brief "campaign".

The game is unfinished, and will remain unfinished. The "story demo" is essentially the final~20 mins of the originally-planned campaign - a linear "dungeon" sequence & the final boss. Expect confusion at a lack of any sort of narrative context. Expect greyboxed environments, physics bugs, vacant soundscape, uneven sound effect volume, etc.  I may or may not come back to it in the future if the mood strikes / there's enough demand. I'm honestly reluctant to publicly release it in its current state, but I'd be remiss not to release it at all.  This project has loomed over me for the 6-7 years I've been working on it and I need to just put it out there and be able to say it's released. Please feel no compulsion to pay for the game.

All that said, I'm pretty happy with the combat system & visual style, at least in the places where I've put effort into it. I want to come back to the ideas here again in the future, just with a project that's not as weighed down by years of poor architecture and shifting  creative goals.
